At Sueño Monarca, we use "Ascenso" to signify promotion, ascent, and growth within a network of community. Through Ascenso Monarca, we connect immigrant youth and young professionals with mentors who have real-world experience in fields like beauty, mechanics, business, education, and more.

We are currently building our first team of 10 mentors before expanding the program to schools and youth agencies.
Now is the time to get involved and become a founding mentor!

By becoming a mentor, you will:

  1. Guide an aspiring professional in your field.

  2. Share your expertise and experience to help shape someone’s future.

  3. Be a role model for a young person navigating their career path.

Who Can Be a Mentor? / ¿Quién Puede Ser Mentor?

We’re looking for dedicated professionals, tradespeople, entrepreneurs, and creatives who want to share their journey. Ideal mentors include:

✔ Licensed beauticians, estheticians, or barbers

How It Works / ¿Cómo Funciona?

  1. Apply / Postúlate – Fill out a short mentor application. (Takes less than 5 minutes!)

  2. Interview / Entrevista – Meet with our team to discuss your experience, goals, and mentorship style.
    🔹 Tendrás una entrevista con nuestro equipo para hablar sobre tu experiencia, objetivos y estilo de mentoría.

  3. Background & Reference Check / Verificación de Antecedentes y Referencias

    🔹 All mentors must complete/Todos los mentores deben completar:

    • A basic background check to ensure a safe mentoring environment.

      🔹 Una verificación básica de antecedentes para garantizar un entorno seguro.

    • A reference check to confirm experience and reliability.

      🔹Una verificación de referencias para confirmar experiencia y responsabilidad.

  4. Get Matched / Conéctate – We’ll pair you with a mentee who shares your career interests.

  5. Mentor & Inspire / Guía e Inspira – Share your knowledge, provide career advice, and help them access opportunities.

  6. Support & Grow / Apoya y Crece – Attend check-ins, networking events, and mentorship training.

  7. Commitment / Compromiso: Flexible! We ask for a minimum of 8 weeks, with mentorship sessions tailored to your availability.
